Basic Info
Name:howling ★ star.
Bio
UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

A headstrong and hot-headed individual, Howlingstar is a leader by nature, perhaps because of influence of his master Rainer Cromwell. However, he is considerably less reserved than him, the more passionate of the pair. Outspoken and loudmouthed, he isn't one to hold his tongue or back down from an intimidating situation. He'd prefer to jump directly into the fray, into the heat of battle (sometimes literally).

Still, along with his fiery nature, he is extremely loyal to his cause--well, anything that his master tells him to do. Even if there are regrets met with the task, he carries them out without a doubt in his mind. He is always one to act and then think about the consequences later, an issue that doesn't really plague him as much as it ought to because of his line of "work", which requires questionless obedience.

For someone who seems as if they might be the one to be the most rebellious of all, Howlingstar is actually fortunate enough to possess one of the strongest bonds amongst the dragonaut pairs with his master, and perhaps this is why they often take the lead. But beside his absolute loyalty, he has a somewhat naive outlook that his master can do no wrong and whatever he tells him is true. Definitely more brawn than brains but still not entirely stupid, he generally lets his master do the thinking and commanding accordingly while carrying out the orders, just as he thinks it should be.

Doubtless of the strength of his own personal bond with his master, when he comes to "work" and otherwise, the questioning of authority baffles him (at least amongst the dragons and those they have "resonated" with), perhaps because his own master Rainer has never been one to exploit his devotion, and he's never felt used.

------

In the beginning, Howlingstar was not even remotely recognizable as a human. He was an egg. A dragon egg. Or rather, a dragon encased within an egg, red and gold. And the first thing he remembered upon his "hatching" was the form of his master, Rainer, when he opened a single eye as he felt the egg touched, and they resonated with one another.

Resonating was not just a simple matter of a dragon deciding that they liked one human more than some other one. At that point it was questionable whether or not the baby dragon within even had a consciousness yet. It was, however, a deep, spiritual and deadly process--if one attempted to resonate with a dragon that was not compatible, they would die a brutal and bloody death, their body swelling to the point of explosion. But if the resonating was successful, a part of the human would be extracted into the dragon, the dragon would be "born", and they would, from that day on, forever bonded to one another until they died.

Most cases of experimentation and test subjects are unhappy. But Howlingstar has never recalled being truly despaired with his situation, perhaps because he does not realize the reality of it. From he day he awoke when he resonated with Rainer Cromwell, the two began a deep bond that transcended anything that could be considered pet, friend, sibling, or lover. They were dragon and dragonaut. Nothing else really mattered. The process was the same for every other pair.

He learned, but only vaguely--as dragons did not speak a word of human tongue--that he was a part of a project implemented by the scientists of a country called Igandea. After the discovery of dragon eggs in an undisclosed place in the New World, and the resonation process through much trial and error, they were able to successfully breed their own dragons within the country, entertaining the idea of possibly using them as weapons against their opponent country, Trivigno, if the time came. The project is risky and shady at best, considering the use of living, breathing beings almost never ends well (especially when they have free will), but Howlingstar had hardly ever given enough thought to question it as he grew.

As he grew, he managed to take on a "Communictor" form, which is essentially himself personified as a human. In Communicator form he can walk about crowds and converse with humans, and simply blend will in to their way of life.

As no true use for the dragons or dragonauts has come about yet, nothing particularly traumatic or devastating has happened to alter Howl's somewhat indifferent attitude toward the situation, save his master who he is blindly loyal, like a dog. As it stands, they have only been recently actually sent to the New World to begin testing how the dragons blend into human society.
